We came across six M&A announcements this October. Two of these involved cross-border transactions. Things slowed down somewhat from the ten transactions we reported in September. Mississauga-based Maxxam Analytics International (owned by OMERS), expended its market share in the analytical laboratory business by acquiring BC-based Cantest.
Critical Control Solutions, a Calgary-based provider of information management solutions, has acquired Southport Data Systems, a Markham-based provider of business outsourcing solutions, for $2.3 Million
Wind Works Power Corp, an Ottawa-headquartered developer of wind energy projects in
Cross Border M&A:
NeuLion (TSX: NLN), a New York company providing diverse programming over the Internet, paid $8.1 million to extend its offering of sports programming by acquiring BC’s Interactive Netcasting Systems.
Reva Solutions, a Vancouver-based software company developing ECM and business intelligence solutions, acquired the Microsoft business unit of Seattle-based Saltmine LLC, a provider of software development and other IT services.
